1960 MINT Gillette Toggle w Case Blades F4, made in the fourth quarter of 1960, it is MADE IN USA. We Recently Purchased Part of a Large Collection, This Is the First Razor of That Collection! The Gillette Toggle is an adjustable razor (1-9), which fine tunes your shave. This is regarded as one of the best razors that Gillette ever made! All mechanics work great, 100%, the toggle mechanism works precisely as it should, opening easily and closing the blade compartment doors tightly, the adjustment wheel turns and clicks perfectly! Also Included Are the Original Blades Still in the Original Cellophane, Never Opened!
At the end of the nicely textured handle is the "toggle", which when flipped allows the doors on the head to open. Flip the toggle again and the doors close, an action designed to cradle a new blade against the base plate. The numbers on the adjuster wheel aren't missing any of the black paint. Also, the ring under the adjustment dial is as black as the day it left the Gillette factory, as is the ring at the bottom of the toggle razor. This razor has an F4 date code which dates it to 1960. It Is Beautiful and in Perfect Operating Condition. The Original Gold Plating Is All There As You Can See from the Photos, This Razor Has Not Been Re-Plated. It measures approximately 4" long by 1 5/8" wide and is marked Gillette Reg. US Pat. Off. F4 Made in USA.
The Gillette toggle case is also in Mint Condition with No Dings on the edges of the box or anywhere else for that matter, there are No Scratches or Breakage anywhere on this beautiful collectible box, although there is a small mark on the outside of the lid which can be seen in the pictures. The inside as you can see in the pictures is in Mint Condition also, it has no rips or tares to any of the fabric, the flap at the back of the case is in Perfect Mint Condition, the button that holds it in place has No Wear whatsoever and holds it in place as it should. The lettering on the inside of the case is as bright and vibrant as if it were made yesterday, in my opinion there is absolutely nothing wrong with this case, as I said this entire Set is in Mint Condition, please see the pictures and you be the judge.
The Gillette Toggle is Extremely Rare and is one of the most desirable razors that Gillette ever produced, these razors were made in a limited quantity which in itself makes these razor sets Extremely Collectible and even more so when they're in the condition that this one is in, they were made from 1956 until 1960.
The Gillette Toggle was first sent to market in 1956. Redesigned, the razor was reintroduced in 1958 and again in 1960. The Gillette Toggle had a short and limited production run, which explains the mystique and collectability of this item. As always please be sure to look closely at all the pictures as they are an exact representation of this Mint collectible item, also be sure to see the pictures that I have posted on YouTube… There are 180 pictures, quite a few, I want everyone to have a very good look at this fantastic set.
