1959 Gillette "FATBOY" Double Edge Safety Razor, date code E4.  The twist (TTO) action to open the butterfly doors is crisp as well as the turning of the numbered collar to adjust the shave, as each number clicks.  The adjuster plate raises and lowers slightly as it should when you adjust the shave.  The lower the number, the less likely you will knick your skin.  As the pictures indicate, there is No Pitting or Corrosion although there is a small amount of brassing in the blade compartment which can be seen in the pictures. The black paint on the numbers and collar is in Excellent Condition. This razor design is tried and true and is both a work horse and a show horse. The razor has had a thorough cleaning, sanitized, oiled and is ready to use.

This is a really beautiful Gillette Adjustable "FATBOY" Razor.  This item is in Very Good Plus Condition. The razor is clean and shiny, with minimal evidence of wear.  It opens and shuts smoothly, and the adjuster stops on each click and raises and lowers.  The razor has been thoroughly cleaned, polished and sanitized with antibacterial soap and water.  This great razor is ready to display or use. Razor was cleaned with soap and water. Operates smoothly. Please be sure to see the pictures also the pictures that I have posted on Blogger.

1937 Gillette Sheraton, Twist-To-Open "TTO" Safety Razor in Excellent Condition. This great collectible item has been used, but obviously never abused. The twist to open mechanism works precisely as it should, opening easily and closing tightly to hold the blade in place.  All mechanics are 100%. This razor has been completely disassembled, tuned up and polished. Although used, this razor is in Excellent Condition, the razor has No Rust or Pitting.  Every tooth on this razor is precisely where it should be… Completely Straight!

The weight of the Sheraton is 53g.  The case is in Good Vintage Condition, and shows a Small Amount of wear inside and a larger amount outside that can be seen in the pictures.  The hinges show No wear or rust and are in great condition, the lid is off-center by approximately 1/32 of an inch. The shaving kit comes with an unopened package of NOS (new old stock) Gillette Blue Blades still in the original cellophane. This great vintage razor feels Very Good in the hand while shaving.  Its length is 8.3cm.

I purposely took close-up photos so you can see any imperfections or signs of wear on the razor, there are Extremely Few, please see the pictures for yourself.   If you are the buyer you will find that the razor, in person, looks better than in the photos.  The razor has been cleaned using everything from a toothbrush to a toothpick, it has been polished, pampered, and disinfected using antibacterial soap and Barbacide, it is shave ready.

The 1937 Gillette Sheraton Safety Razor was introduced by Gillette for the 1937
Christmas season and then discontinued in 1939.  It is purported to be non-aggressive and to provide a Truly Excellent Shave.  Gillette 1930's open combs are considered some of the best shaving Gillettes ever produced.  This razor is the predecessor to the beloved Senator and has the same head and overall design, but the door attachments match the earlier 1930's British and American TTO's.  We believe the earlier attachment provides a little greater detail and makes the razor slightly more attractive than the Senator. Please be sure to look closely at all the pictures also see the pictures that I have posted on blogger.
