1930s Cooper Monobilt Razor with NOS Cooper Brand Blades, the razor is in Excellent Condition. Three-Piece Safety Razor Handle is hollow with hexagon shaped end and threaded at top for blade holder. Bar type guard. Uses regular double edge blades. The Cooper MonoBilt Safety Razor was manufactured in 1932 by the Cooper Safety Razor Corporation of Brooklyn, New York. The Cooper Safety Razor Corp. also had offices or produced safety razors in Stamford Conn.  The razor is three-piece and is commonly known as a "sandwich type razor".  The razor is in Very Good to Excellent Condition with No Plate Loss Whatsoever. The plating is complete throughout the razor. The handle has a satin finish, while the head is a bright, polished finish. The teeth in the comb are all clean and straight.
This Cooper Double Edge Safety Razor is in Excellent Condition. The Entire handle turns to raise top plate to replace blade. Marked under razor head is "COOPER Made in USA". Measures 3 and 1/2" long. Nice silver chrome color. Works correctly with No Breaks or Missing Parts. Magnificent looking vintage razor.  Cooper is one of the oldest safety razors ever made.

It was manufactured by the Cooper Safety Razor Corp. of Brooklyn, NY. It was patented in 1932. The razor is in Original Manufactured Condition with No Apparent Plating Loss. This razor head appears to be chrome plated with a casthandle and stamped head.

The cooper turns out to be a fine little shaver, it gets very close to the skin, and lets you hear every whisker being mowed down. Some people have said this razor is built from die-cast metal and not brass, true, but a nice die-cast job. Some complain that the seams on the handle are cheap, however look at most of the Cooper Razors that occasionally pop up for sale, No Cracks on Those Handles, those seams act as a stress reducer, they have more give & take than a hard metal handle. I own a couple myself and get fine shaves, very close, and the razor is not picky about what you feed it, proprietary blade? Yes, but it is no problem at all using a regular double edge blade, and once the head is fully screwed down you will never know. Please be sure to look closely at all the pictures also see the pictures that I have posted on YouTube.
