1930 Gillette Gold New Regent German Set

1930 Gillette Gold New Regent German Set

Make Me an Offer, What Have You Got to Lose! … More Pictures

I want to apologize for the first three pictures of the case, they came out a little bit dark.

The 1930 Gillette Gold New "Regent German Set" made in the USA.  This razor is in such good condition I believe it was barely used as both the top and bottom blade plate are like new. Gillette "New" Style Safety Razor, Thick Bar Handle. The razor and blade box are goldplated, all the gold plating is intact with Absolutely No Plate Loss anywhere, which can be seen in the pictures. This is a three piece razor, the top piece has the bar that fits in blade slot with a center stud that screws into the handle. The bottom blade holder has a slot in the middle. This is an Open Comb razor. Made in U.S.A.

The case is in Excellent condition with Absolutely Minimal Wear to the outside, the hinges are Not rusted and work well. The inside of the case sports a royal blue interior which has Absolutely No Loss to the fabric or to the color. The Gillette logo has a small amount of vintage Ware but still is in Very Good condition. Please be sure to look closely at all the pictures, they are a true representation of this great collectible item.

The Gillette "NEW" came on the market in 1930. It continued the drop-shoulder profile of the out in the middle Gillette "NEW" Improved from 1921, but with a

straight bar that required blades with a slot cut in them and for a while, only Gillette had those blades. Personally, I prefer shaving with the "ball end"; it has a very balanced weight in your hand and gives a great clean shave.
